Very small place but nice, the food is really home made and had a very authentic taste. I had kofta with potatoes in the oven, with rice, grilled vegetables and Egyptian pickle. The taste was amazing. The only drawback was when I requested the rest of my meal be wrapped for rake away, I was surprised when I got home to find the put the picks over the rice and vegetables!!!
Even though the place looks very cheap the food was amazing! We have tried a few traditional plates - koshary was super tasty, mahshi (rice in wine leafs), spicy potatoes and sambosa! The service was very efficient, only the place inside looks old and not very clean.

A Great place if you want to try local Egyptian food, its in the heart if Zamalek. The quality of food and it's price are very good .. Place isn't very big for large groups you need to let them know ahead. Everyone in their staff 's very decent and professional. Its recommended to try their lentil soup and beef goulash "The Egyptian recipe.." indeed.
This is one of my top favorite restaurants in Cairo. Everything tasted delicious. The chefs are people who care about their cooking using fresh ingredients. I would definitely recommend and go back again. The only thing is the ventilation is poor.
Very good quality food, good fulfilling portions and most important is good taste without too much spices to mask the real taste. Very healthy food and unlike other restaurants who put too much pepper, it's just right amount of salt and pepper, especially for my sick mother who has stomach ulcer. I ordered almost daily when she was sick. Cairo kitchen is the right home made egyptian food if you want to try a taste of Homemade egyptian cooking.
